From the Desk of the Executive Director:
It is such an honor to be selected to be the Executive Director of my most favorite ministry in the world! Words cannot express how excited I am to see what God will do in the days ahead. It is interesting to look back to the first days of working with Bobby. I don’t think that I ever expected to be the Director of this ministry. I just jumped to the task, daily seeking God’s plan for me in the capacity He called me to. Before I knew it, nine years flashed before my eyes and here we are! I’m so thankful for a great staff, the passions they share, and the sacrifices they make to serve our Lord through Sports Crusaders. I’m also thankful for a great Executive Board and Advisory Council and I look forward to those working relationships.
I’ve always looked forward to the holidays we call Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years! I recall memorable times with family and the spirit that weaved our festivities together. Our traditions ran like clockwork every year. Our family didn’t have a lot; however my parents were very generous in nature and taught us how to give of ourselves more than of our pocketbook. The best gift my parents ever gave me was a Christian upbringing that would eventually lead me to serve God daily through this ministry. I thank God each day for the good times as well as the hardships we experienced growing up for this has made me who I am today.
I am especially thankful for my family and friends. This is the time to begin new traditions and polish the old ones. It’s a time to embrace your friends and family and show them your love by spending time together making more memories. I wish all of you a blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas season!
